Moisture Separator

MOISTURE SEPARATOR

CAPACITY: 50 LPH +
Description

High-efficiency inline device designed to remove entrained water droplets from steam or air lines.

Extraction of liquid particles from air/gas flow
to ensure 'Dry' utility delivery.

Working
1
Centrifugal Action

High peripheral speed in the separating chamber ejects heavier particles (condensate, dirt).

2
Wall Collection

Droplets are flung to outer walls, collect, and drain via a bottom trap while dry gas stays center.

3
Cover Plate Shield

Collecting chamber cover plate prevents separated moisture from being picked up again.

4
Submerged Pipe Out

Purified gas exits via a central pipe with a blade ring that prevents liquid re-entry.

Types of Moisture Separator
  • Cyclonic (Compressed Air)
  • Baffle (Steam Systems)
Key Differences VS Conventional

A Steam Trap removes bulk condensate at low points.

A Moisture Separator removes suspended droplets traveling at high velocity within the flow.

Advantages
Improves "Steam Quality"
Erosion Protection
Zero Maintenance Design
Disadvantages
Pressure Drop

Slight drop across unit must be calculated.

Accurate Sizing Vital

Undersized units will fail to separate.
